Obituary

Mr. Jerry Alford, age 80 of Pickton, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 in Tyler. He was born on April 8, 1940 in Sulphur Springs to the late Andrew Bennett Alford and Clara Harrellson Alford. He was a retired roughneck, and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Julie Alford; brothers, Truman Alford, Harvey Alford, and Leo Alford.
He is survived by his sons, Richard Alford and his wife Laura of Mt. Vernon and Shannon Alford and his wife, Lorelei of Gilmer; sister, Margie Gilmer , Mary Allen and Frances Wheeler; four grandchildren, Alexander Alford, Amber Alford, Colten Hinson and Corelee Hinson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9th, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 9th, 2020 at Beaty Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Vernon Allen, Allen Henson, Alex Alford, Colten Hinson, Tony Moore, Randy Henson, Mike Allen serving as pallbearers.
