I will never forget when David invited Tom & me to the "farm" with all the family on a beautiful, sunny Easter weekend in Flatonia. We were still newlyweds and had no kids, but he said it was OK to bring our 2 dogs. The first day, I fell asleep on a chaise lounger, in the FULL SUN, reading a book. When I woke up hours later, I was BAKED like a RED LOBSTER, with BURNED BACK OF THE KNEES, so excruciating to walk or have clothing touch anywhere! I sure couldn't go to Church with them, but HAD to go to work on Monday!. THEN, on Easter Sunday morning, our sweet little "city" Beagle came happily racing up to the front door of the house, with kids and everybody there, "hunting" Easter eggs. She proudly came to me to show me her trophy--a DEAD BUNNY IN HER MOUTH!! She would not let it go, or be caught, and excitedly ran around and among us for a while. So, that became our story of how our family puppy KILLED THE EASTER BUNNY!! Otherwise, though, it was a great weekend and memory.
