Vera Virginia Fikes Inman, 95, of Scroggins, Texas, passed away on March 8, 2021, at her home surrounded by loving family.
Vera was born April 10, 1925, to Jesse Franklin and Josie Ola Townsend Fikes. She was a member of Clearwater Baptist Church, Scroggins, TX.
Vera was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.D. Inman, a daughter Patricia “Pat” Inman Cook, her parents, 4 sisters, and one brother.
Vera is survived by 3 children: Durene (the late Richard) White of Denton, TX; Brenda (Milton) Moody of The Woodlands, TX; and Greg (Tina) Inman of Scroggins, TX.
She is also survived by 15 grandchildren: Kathleen Cook of Garland, TX; Christine Cook (the late Christopher) McLemore of Orlando, FL; Clayton Cook of Orlando, FL; Karen Cook of Garland, TX; Wayne (Janna) Moody of Liberty, TX; Stephen (Keri) White of Camp Humphreys Pyeongtaek-si, South Korea; William “Bill” (Megan) White of Round Rock, TX; Michelle White (Michael) Griffis of Tijuana, Mexico; Matthew Moody of Magnolia, TX; Kara Shea Moody of Austin, TX; Jared (Sara) Inman of Dallas, TX; and Caitlin Inman (Matthew) Charles of Anderson, TX.
Vera was also blessed with and loved by her 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; surviving sister, Oleta Fikes Wright of Gilmer, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Bethel Cemetery, Franklin County, on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at 1:00PM.
