Obituary for Stephen Henry Hamrick

STEPHEN H. HAMRICK

Stephen passed away on March 7, 2021 in Dallas, Tx. He was born to Richard Hamrick and Sarah Rhoades Hamrick at the US Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton, California on May 13,1961.
As a young child he lived in California, Texas, and North Carolina. At Cherry Point Marine Air Station, NC. he lived near the flight path for the newly introduced F4 Phantoms where he developed a love of airplanes. Soon after graduating high school at Berkner, Richardson TX, he joined the Air Force and trained as an aircraft mechanic. After serving in Utah, he transferred to Avaino, Italy. While serving there, he was selected to tour Europe as a member of the ground crew for the U.S. Air Force “Thunderbirds”.
After service, Stephen made his home in Dallas where he worked as an A & P aircraft mechanic and inspector. He was devoted to his lab “Buddy”. He leaves behind his Mother and Dad, Sarah and Richard Hamrick of Lake Cypress Springs; brother, Mark (Rhonda) Hamrick; nephew, Jacob Hamrick; and niece Julianne Hamrick, all of Peoria, AZ.

A memorial is scheduled May 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon TX. Bro. Pepper Puryear will be officiating. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m.
