Obituary for Shane Rayburn Kirk
Shane Rayburn Kirk, age 28 of Mineola, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at his home. He was born September 23, 1994 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Jimmy Kirk and Lenice Walls Kirk. He was a 2013 graduate of Mineola High School and Kilgore College. He attended First Assembly of God in Quitman.
Shane loved being outdoors and on the road! He spent many hours throwing out line on the lake or in a tree waiting on a big buck. His outgoing personality made him a joy to be around and he would give you the shirt off of his back. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle, and a friend to all. Many remember him as being a friendly face at Kelly Drug, he also worked at Eastman in Longview, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Houston Kirk, Jr. and maternal grandfather, Leo Walls.
Survivors include his parents Jimmy and Lenice Kirk; brother, Trent Kirk; sisters, Shenice Lacy and her husband Michael Lacy, Jr. and Tristan Kirk; grandmothers, Jenice Walls and Sharon Kirk; Uncles Mitch Walls, Heath and wife Amanda Walls, Chad and wife Sherri Walls; nephews, Michael and Micah Lacy; niece, Madalyn Lacy; and many loving cousins.
Pallbearers include: Jeffrey Walls, Trent Kirk, Bryce Walls, Casey Walls, Chad Young, Michael Lacy, III.
Honorary pallbearers: Michael Lacy, Jr. and Micah Lacy
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of East Texas or MD Anderson, Houston, TX.
