Obituary for Ronny Dean Shirley
Mr. Ronny Dean Shirley, age 75 of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in Winnsboro. He was born on May 14, 1947 in Winnsboro to the late Vaughn Shirley and Verna Lou Gurley Shirley.
Ronny was a retired Postmaster of Winnsboro and a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Winnsboro where he served as a past treasurer, deacon and benevolence minister. He was a past trustee for Winnsboro ISD and a member of the Gus Garrison Masonic Lodge in Winnsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Gail Hooks.
Survivors include his loving wife, Brenda Shirley of Winnsboro; sons, Lance Shirley and wife, Susan of Winnsboro and Rustin Shirley and wife, Kim of Leesburg; grandchildren, Chris Winkle, Amanda Winkle, Jeffery Hamilton, Stephanie Jaeger, Brooke Sustaire, and Corbitt Shirley; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Eisley, Cash, Bren Kate, Audrina, and Andy along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at First Baptist Church Winnsboro 200 W. Broadway Winnsboro, Texas. Funeral Services will follow at 2:30 at First Baptist Church with Dr. David Rose conducting. Interment will be at Perryville Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Chad Smith, Todd Clayton, Aaron Royal, Rhett Redding, Caden Hamm, Mitchell Holt, Kelly Hair, and Corbitt Shirley serving as pallbearers.
