Richard Nolan Reneau, 73, of McKinney, Texas, closed his eyes on earth on January 22, 2023. Richard was born on October 4, 1949, in Winnsboro, to the late Hartho and Myra Jacobs Reneau. A graduate of Winnsboro High in 1968, Richard went right into the Air Force that same year and served in Thailand and Vietnam. Mr. Reneau was a radio broadcaster most of his life and broadcast games for both East Texas State University-Commerce sports and the Greenville High School football team. Richard also spent some time broadcasting in Sulphur Springs. He enjoyed sports, listening to good ol' Rock-n-Roll, and playing with his dogs. Richard and his wife Jan were members of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco. Mr. Reneau is survived by his devoted wife Jan (Thompson) Reneau; son Spencer Reneau and his wife Lindsay; sister Rita Pearson and husband Charles, sister Rhonda Jones and husband Don; 8 grandchildren Nolan Reneau, Zeppelin Reneau, Murphy Reneau, Jacob Akin, Jaxson Akin, Josslynne Sturdivant, Stella Sturdivant and Jovie Sturdivant. A visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro on Thursday, January 26th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Graveside will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Harmony Cemetery.
