Obituary for Patsy Jean Mullins
Patsy Jean Mullins of Mineola, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in Mineola, Texas. Patsy was born on October 23, 1933 in Yantis, Texas, to parents Julius E. Mapes and Sallie (Byrd) Mapes. She graduated from Yantis High School, class of 1951 and married Doug Mullins on June 5, 1981. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Patsy is survived by her brother Ted and his wife Charlotte Mapes of Bullard, Texas; three children, Vivian McCatty and husband David of Rockwall, Texas, Bobby Harris of Yantis, Texas and Brian Harris and wife Patricia of Mineola, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jared Crain of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Jeremy Harris of Quitman, Texas, Jody Harris of Yantis, Texas, Rachael Mott of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Daysha Crain of Rockwall, Texas, Jennifer Newsome of Mount Vernon, Texas and Timothy Harris of New York City, New York.
She is also survived by nine great-grand-children and one great-great-grandson due to be born in May, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents Julius and Sallie Mapes, husband Doug Mullins, sister and brother-in-law, Melba and James Diamond and grandson Damon Crain.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Beaty Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Graveside services will be at Yantis Cemetery on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11:00 AM, arrangements under the direction of Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola, Texas.
