Obituary for Ouida Mae Marshall (Davis)

Ouida Marshall entered into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ on January 2, 2021 at the age of 90. Mrs. Marshall was born on April 19, 1930 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to the late Park and Bobbie Lee (Corley) Davis. She joins her parents and her beloved husband Charles Marshall who she married on June 6, 1947 days after having graduated high school in Mt. Vernon. Ouida was also preceded in death by a nephew James Ray Davis. Mrs. Marshall was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro. She ran the office for Taylor Propane and retired after 33 years with the company. Ouida, not one to sit around kept on doing odd jobs and never letting the dust settle on her shoes. She is survived by her brother Jimmie Lee Davis and wife Imogene, brother Edwin Davis and wife Gloria, sisters Maxine Bramum and Elsie Stringer; nieces Melba Reynolds, Cheryl Elliott, Karla Jackson, Jaimie Smith, Diana Davis and Janice Thomas; nephews Joe Don Condrey, David Stringer, Jonathan Stringer and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Purley Cemetery, Dr. David Rose, officiant.
