Obituary for Noah Folmar Jr.

Noah Folmar, Jr., lifelong resident of Winnsboro released his spirit on January 29, 2021 in Winnsboro, Texas. Mr. Folmar was born to the late Noah Folmar, Sr. and Charlotte McMullen Folmar in Winnsboro on November 11, 1927. He was the last of 5 sons and 1 daughter. Noah married Virginia Fielden on July 25, 1945 and the two of them were husband and wife for 75 1/2 years. Mr. Folmar and his brothers worked as carpenters together building many fine structures during their lifetime. He enjoyed fishing, watching his favorite Westerns on television and growing tomatoes, okra, squash and other vegetables in his garden. Anyone who came to visit the house had to go home with a sack of vegetables from his garden. Mr. Folmar was a 90 plus member of Smyrna Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Bob Folmar; brothers Guy, Hubert, Edgar and Clyde Folmar; sister Euna Mae Norris. Mr. Folmar is survived by his wife Virginia Folmar; son Roger Folmar and wife Christine; daughter Sandy Taylor; grandchildren Scott Hansen and wife Joelda, Lane Montgomery and husband Michael, Wesley Folmar, Janice Gray and husband Tom, Tracy Rimpell and wife Joy, Stuart Folmar and wife Janessa, Tasha Acker and husband Brandon and Gaylon Folmar; great grandchildren Whitney Hansen, Logan Montgomery, Caleb Montgomery, Zoie Folmar, Nathaniel Green, Mason Wellborn, Lillianne Gray, Noah Gray, Thomas Gray, Violet Gray, Kaitlyn Rimpell, Sam Rimpell, Ashleigh Rimpell, Laylanee Folmar, Shawn Folmar, Dakota Morgan, Caleb Morgan, Makayla Morgan, Brandon Acker, Destiny Morgan and Lyndia Morgan; great great grandchild Brantli Goodwin. A visitation will be held under the pavilion at Smyrna Cemetery on Friday, February 5th from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery.
