Obituary for Monte Jo Winkle (Connelly)
Mrs. Monte Jo Winkle, age 85 of Winnsboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 1, 2022 in Winnsboro. She was born on December 23, 1936 in Mt. Vernon to Lee Harston Connelly and Grace Horan Connelly.
Mrs. Winkle was a bookkeeper for businesses that her and her husband owned for many years, and then after his passing, she was a Certified Nurse Aide at Whispering Pines Nursing and Rehab for almost 20 years. She was selfless and a devoted wife and Mother. Being a Mom was her favorite job. She loved to cook whatever she thought would bring a smile to someone's face and she was the best at telling stories from the past.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Prentis Edward Winkle in 1992 and sister, Linda Neil.
Survivors include her son, Chip Winkle and wife Lee of Winnsboro; brother, Max Lee Connelly and wife, Margaret of Bedford; grandchildren, Dugan and Brangus Winkle and two bonus grandchildren, Logan and Pockett Torres.
Memorial burial services will be scheduled at a later date.
