Obituary

Louise Boykin

Louise worked in many industries starting in the medical field working for a urology group for the Dallas Cowboys and then moved on to teaching for a nursing college.

She then moved to Winnsboro to get out of the big city and purchased a poultry farm and thought raising baby chicks was a great career move. However soon after she obtained her real estate license and owned Century 21 Rogillio Realty for years. Her final career move was owning an appraisal company where she trained three children that became real estate appraisers opening their own businesses. She retired at 74 from the real estate field.
Louise loved to travel and traveled extensively domestically and internationally.

She was a member of Pine Street Baptist Church for over 30 years where she served on multiple commitments and taught Sunday school with most of those years with the beloved Gleaners class. She was passionate about her card ministry, sending cards daily. She loved her church family immensely.

She also served on Wood County child protective service board for many years.
She was known for her decorating ability and loved to entertain with many 42 parties and church social events. Betty Ray, you made us smile when you said, “Louise will have Heaven redecorated by night.” She loved dressing to the nines, including her four-inch heels that she didn’t give up until she was well into her sixties. Her car of choice was always a Caddie as she would bounce across a pasture showing properties.

She loved cooking and loved spending time with her grandchildren where she would often allow them to do things that their parents would not necessarily agree with. She was known for being the coolest grandmother!

Her family will miss her beyond words, but we have prayed so long for her healing that our prayers have now been answered. We will have these memories until we meet you in Heaven.

Survivors include her daughters, Wendy Tabor and husband Larry, Glenda Duncan, Sharon Essler and husband Doug, Rhonda Thompson and husband, J.D.; sons, Larry Eldridge and wife Virginia and Randy Boykin; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Boykin; daughter-in-law, Pat Boykin; brother, T.W. Biggs; sisters, Robbie Warren and Ruth Maloy.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at Pine Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro with Rev. Charles Ethridge conducting. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro.

Mom Louise as I know her best, gave me so much laughter, joy and love. I could share anything with her and ask for advice and depend on her to always have a solution. She welcomed me into her family and loved us as her own. I cherish the many hours of laughter and memories made. I already miss hearing her voice and her great laugh. She loved the Lord and I am confident she is rejoicing in heaven with Him. I am glad she is not longer in pain, renewed in a new body free from any worry or pain. You're in my heart forever. I love you an miss you
