Mrs. Mildred Joan Thurman, age 81 of Winnsboro, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 in Tyler. She was born on March 22, 1941 in Winnsboro to the late Tunis Coats and Willie Kay Attaway Coats.
Midge was a retired superintendent secretary for Winnsboro ISD and a member of First Baptist Church in Winnsboro. She married Tommy Thurman on November, 19 1966 and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Tabb Coats and sister, Frances Walding.
Survivors include her son, Wade Satterwhite and his wife Tina of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Dillon Taylor Satterwhite and his wife, Morgan of Stillwater, Oklahoma and CJ Satterwhite Holland and her husband, Casey of Winnsboro; great grandchildren, Riata Satterwhite and Cohen Holland; niece, Lisa Hardin and her husband, John of Mineola.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Dr. David Rose conducting. Interment will be at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Bart Knight, David Simons, Casey Holland, Dillon Satterwhite, Billy Saucier, and Jim Satterwhite serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Casselman, Joshua Hardin and Jordan Hardin
