Obituary for Micheal Little

It is with great sadness that the family of Luiey Micheal (Mike) Little announces his peaceful passing with the love of his family surrounding him, on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the age of 67.

Mike will lovingly be remembered by his mother Aleta V. Little and his wife of 43 years Patti. Mike will also be remembered by his children, Jamie and wife Ginny of Rockwall, Texas, Micheal of Denver, Colorado, Kalynn and husband Jake of Winnsboro, Texas. Mike will also be fondly remembered as their loving “Pop” by his seven grandchildren, Jordan and husband Hayden, Bailee, Adam, Kelsie, Justin, Hadley and Sutton. Mike will also be remembered by his sister Sherry Brockway and brothers T.W. and Greg Little, as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Mike was predeceased by his father John Travis Little.

Mike was born in Sonora, Texas on October 16, 1954 to Travis and Aleta Little.

He graduated from WISD in 1973. Mike was involved with the football program all four years in high school, was Team Captain his senior year and was awarded All District Honors his junior and senior year. He was also very involved in FFA.

On February 16,1979 Mike married Patti Little. They raised three children together and have 7 grandchildren. Mike loved his family very much and was loved deeply by his grandkids. To them he was “Pop”.

Mike was a man of few words but he never met a stranger. He was a champion for the underdog. Tell him a sad story about your troubles and he was right there to try and find a solution. He would give you the shirt off his back.

After high school Mike went to work in the oilfield. He started out as a roughneck then quickly became a driller and then a tool pusher. When the oilfield crashed he became a dairy farmer for the next several years. He was a partner in Little’s Emu Farm where he helped with breeding and raising Emu’s for their meat and oil. When the emu business slowed down Mike and his family built and opened 4-L Processing Plant where he was the meat processor and known for his Roughneck Sausage. In 2012 Mike was able to retire from the processing plant. The next 10 years Mike enjoyed relaxing with family, attending grandkid’s events and tinkering on his hill in Coke, Texas.

A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Black Oak Baptist Church 14440 Farm to Market Road 69, Como, Texas 75431.

In lieu of flowers, Mike’s family request that memorial donations be made to Black Oak Baptist Church or a charity of your choice
