Obituary for Louetta Thompson
Ada Louetta Binford Thompson age 92, died on April 16, 2023, in Winnsboro, Texas. She was born at home in the New Hope community on August 13, 1930, to Cecil and Flora Binford, long time residents of New Hope.
She is proceeded in death by her grandparents; James and Maud Amoss and Jessie and Emma Binford, her husband, Kenneth G. Thompson, her parents Cecil and Flora Binford, a stepmother Gladys Richey Binford, a brother James E. Binford, a sister Lois Binford Taylor and brother in law ,Joe Taylor, sister in law and brother in law, Ruby Thompson Barnes and Bill Barnes, sister in law and brother in law, Mary Earl Thompson Terrell and Joe Terrell, sister in law and brother in law, Billie Faye Thompson Allen and Charles Allen.
She is survived by two children, Kim Thompson Shirley and husband Randy Shirley of Winnsboro, Texas, son; Mark and Nikole Thompson of Frankston, Texas, four grandchildren Rebekah, James, and Jared Shirley of Winnsboro, Texas, Morgan Thompson of Frankston, Texas; one brother and his wife David Ross and Charlotte Binford of Waxahachie, Texas, nieces and nephews, Cindy Allen and Ron Glover of El Paso, Texas, David and Janice Mc Gill of Seminole, Texas, David Wayne and Dawn Binford of New Hampshire, Greg and Lisa Binford of Round Rock, Texas, Libby Taylor and Virgileo De Leon of Allen, Texas, Christy Taylor Fajerson of Mineola, Texas, Chad Taylor of Allen, Texas, Josh and Tamyla Taylor of Prague, Oklahoma, Tammie Whitlow Childress and Andrew of Waxahachie, Texas; great grandchildren, Ana and Aerison Higuera; 27 great nieces and nephews.
She is a graduate of Mineola High School and a graduate of Baylor University School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for 50 years. She accepted Jesus as savior as a teenager. She taught Sunday School as a member of New Hope Baptist Church for several years.
She will be buried by her husband at New Hope Cemetery in Mineola, Texas. A special goodbye in several songs. See you all again one of these days.
Visitation is Scheduled for Friday, April 21, 2023 from 6 - 8 PM. Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, April 22 at 10:00 am at New Hope Baptist Church, Mineola, TX with Bro. Michael Miz and Bro. James Shafer officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Binford, Chaz Fajerson, Josh Mallory, Wes Fajerson, Chad Taylor, Josh Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Sullivan, Virgilio DeLeon, Wesley DeLeon, David Wayne Binford. Graveside will follow service at New Hope Cemetery with Bro. Fred Morrow officiating.
