Obituary for Leslie Clifton "Jake" Shields

Mr. Leslie Clifton "Jake" Shields passed away on Monday, August 27, 2007 at the age of 92. He was born on October 30, 1914 to the late Isaiah Shields and Nola Blache McKenzie Shields. Mr. Shields served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was a retired cattle farmer and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Flossie Byars Shields; sister, Syble Shields; brothers, Pearl Shields, Troy Shields, Claude Shields, Lee Shields, Preston Shields and Mayron Shields. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Jane Shields of Winnsboro; sons, Charles Havens of Panama, and Wayne Havens of Mineola; daughters, Lillian McCollum of Cookville, Ruth Wallis of Winnsboro and Mary Cofer of Winnsboro; brother, Aaron Shields of Beaumont; numerous nieces and nephews and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
