Obituary for Les Parrish

Leslie F. Parrish of Winnsboro, Texas closed his eyes on January 31, 2021. Mr. Parrish was born to the late Lyle and Isla (Peterson) Parrish on October 22, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. After high school and at the age of 17, Les to the dismay of his mother signed the paperwork to allow him to join the Marines. He went on to serve with the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Les graduated with a bachelors degree in Finance from Northwestern University. He would go on to retire from Bank of America in 1993 as Vice President Municipal Bond Underwriting. Les and his wife Carol moved to Winnsboro 4 1/2 years ago from Eagle River, Wisconsin to be closer to family. He loved to hunt and shot his first deer in Wisconsin from the kitchen window. Les was preceded in death by two brother-in-laws and nephew David Patrick. He is survived by wife of almost 41 years Carol (Hickey) Parrish; daughters Debra Parrish and Laura Palumbo; sister Kathleen Patrick and husband Elmo; grandchildren Kyle Parrish, Nichole Clark, John Leslie Gray, Devon Newman, Danielle Stewart and Dillon Stewart; 6 great-grandchildren; and his four legged fur babies Stoli and Brandy. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Beaty Funeral Home.
