Obituary for Lela Mae Stout (Hargis)
Mrs. Lela Mae Stout, age 99 of Gilmer, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 in Winnsboro. She was born on December 25, 1920 in Franklin County, Texas to the late Will Hargis and Fannie Jacobs Hargis. She was a housewife, Baptist and a loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Stout was preceded in death by husbands, Elton Fikes and Roy Stout; and a son Roy Stout in 2013.
She is survived by her sons, Buddy Fikes of Gilmer, Larry Stout and wife, Linda of Winnsboro, Troy Stout and wife, Toy of Gilmer, Henry Stout and wife, Jan of Winnsboro; daughters, Martha Carter and husband, Guy of Gilmer and Melba Meade of Dallas; sister, Ima Boyd of Winnsboro, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro at 11:00 am, Bro. Ronny Spence conducting, interment will follow at Perryville Cemetery in Winnsboro, with
her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
