Janiece Elledge, 93, of Mount Vernon, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
Janiece was born in Franklin County, Texas, on July 4, 1929, to J.T. and Edith Jones.
She married Cleburn H. Elledge on May 24, 1947. He preceded her in death in 2012 after 65 years of marriage.
Janiece was a homemaker, and she also worked for more than 25 years at Wilson Manufacturing in Winnsboro, Texas. She was a talented seamstress and gardener. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family tremendously. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith, and loved to visit the brethren both locally and in other states.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers James Jones, Wayne Jones, Robbie Jones, and L.C. Jones; sister Ruth Neal; half-brothers Charlie Jones, Perry Jones, Cullis "Punk" Jones, Ray Jones, and Frank Pierce; and half-sisters Eula Evers and Ina French.
She is survived by her children Glenda Raley and Debbie (Charlie) Emerson; grandchildren Brad Embrey, Lauri (Michael) Verhalen, Brook Bussell, and Royce (Morgan) Emerson; great-grandchildren Debra Embrey, Cade (Charly) Bussell, Bradley Embrey, Colby Bussell, and Emma Verhalen; and great-great-grandsons Cayden Dawson and Oliver Bussell,
