Obituary for Joye Elaine Bailey

Joye Elaine Bailey, 73, of Winnsboro, Texas, opened her eyes in Heaven on December 7, 2022. Her name fit her perfectly as she was a joy to know and be around. She was born on June 19, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, to the late Claude E. Mize and Freda Nell (Denman) Mize. Joye attended Irving High School and went on to receive a bachelor's degree from UT Arlington in Business Administration. Mrs. Bailey and her husband Clint came to Winnsboro from Irving in 2005. She retired from Winnsboro High School where she worked as the school registrar and was currently the church secretary for Harmony Assembly of God in Winnsboro. Joye loved to serve the Lord and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her. Joye was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Mark E. Mize and Kirk A. Mize. She is survived by her husband of 25 years Clint Bailey; sons Jeffrey Harpole and Sean Harpole; grandchildren Haley Harpole and Samuel Harpole; great-grandson Jeremiah Crockett; sisters Becky Ellsworth (Steve) and Karen Cress (Larry); and lastly her four legged fur baby Bitsy. The family will have a time of visitation for friends at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro on Saturday, December 10th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held at a later date at Harmony Assembly of God.
