Obituary for Jolene Weems (Powell)
Mrs. Jolene Weems, age 68 of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in Tyler. She was born on October 21, 1953 in Winnsboro to the late Burnice Powell and Lessie Hood Powell.
Jolene was retired from Whispering Pines Nursing Home and a longtime member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Joan Kennedy; son-in-law, Tony Watson and grandson, Adam Watson. Survivors include her husband, David Earl Weems of Winnsboro; daughters, Sandy Kay Kile and husband, David of Royce City, Angie Thompson and husband, Kevin of Winnsboro; brothers, Kenneth Powell and wife, Debbie of Tyler, James Powell of Gilmer, David Powell and wife, Carol of Tyler; sister, Donna Powell of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Spencer, Caden, Reid, Emily, Shelby and husband, Caleb, Carson, Kade, Caitlin and Jacob; great grandchildren, Jonah Kate, Zeke, Eden and Jude along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Beaty Funeral Home with Rev. David Taylor conducting. Interment will follow at Willard Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Steve Weems, Jason Weems, Mike Powell, Kerry Powell, Hunter Powell, Marcus Weems serving as pallbearers.
