Obituary for Johnny Douglas Gimarc

Johnny Douglas Gimarc of Tyler, Texas and formerly of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas passed away October 31, 2007 at the age of 78. He was born March 25, 1929 to the late John and Virgie (Ringo) Gimarc in Del Rio, Texas. He was a member of the Hawkins First United Methodist Church. He worked for many years with the Boy Scouts of America and received the Silver Beaver Award. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Dorothy Gimarc of Tyler, TX; five sons, John Alexander Gimarc of Anchorage, AL, Charles Edward Gimarc of Colorado Springs, CO, Richard Lewis Gimarc of Austin, TX, George Douglas Gimarc of Rowlett, TX and Brian Alan Gimarc of Austin, TX; brother, Benjimin M. Gimarc of Columbia, SC; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 2 PM at Holly Tree Chapel at Holly Lake Ranch, TX with Rev. Charles Long, Rev. Louis Gant, Rev. Charles Reece and Rev. Charles Sanders officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX 75701.
