Obituary for Johnny Mack Gilbreath

Mr. Johnny Mack Gilbreath of Caddo Mills, Texas, passed away after a brief illness on July 4, 2020. Johnny was born on January 18, 1944 in Winnsboro to George and Tommie (Day) Gilbreath. He worked as a Millwright for various companies for over 40 years. Mr. Gilbreath was happiest raising and breaking Appaloosa horses, spending time outdoors during bird hunting season and wetting a hook, hoping to catch a big one. Johnny was a member of the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Hunt County. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary (Boon) Gilbreath, son Danny Green, daughter-in-law Georgeina Green and sister Sandy O'Conn. Mr. Gilbreath is survived by son Lonnie Green, son and daughter-in-law Keith and Lisa Gilbreath, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Darrell Preston, sister Jeanette Lovell, cousin and dear friend Clara Ziegler, 9 grandchildren Britanie, Tara, Joshua, Candiss, Christopher, Mistie, Justin, Dylan and Jared, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, July 11th in the Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.
