Jimmie David Durbin, son of Louisiana, however, a longtime resident of Texas, passed away with his family by his side on February 11, 2023. Mr. Durbin was born on November 1, 1931, to Ira Leo Durbin and Susan Ann Williams Durbin. Jimmie was a man that worked up until almost there very end of his life. He was happiest staying busy and with something to do. Mr. Durbin worked in the oilfield, aircraft maintenance for LTV, and was mowing the cemetery at Maple Springs cemetery until the last four years. Jimmie loved his family and was extremely grateful for the care they rendered unto him the last couple of years he lived. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Elsie Faye Durbin; daughter Brenda Pauline Weems; 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and one grandchild. He is survived by his son William David Durbin; daughter Hazel Fay Durbin, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Graveside service 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16th at Maple Springs Cemetery Bro. Randy Stewart officiating. Pallbearers will be Darnell Rushing, Dakota Rushing, William Durbin, Shannon Deforrest, Kolten Bennett, Jimmy Weems, and Mark Holt.
