James Howard Roberts, 84, of Irving, TX passed away on November 26, 2022 in Southlake, TX. He was born on July 20, 1938 in Henderson, TX. Mr. Roberts enjoyed listening to Bluegrass Country music, watching the Dallas Cowboys football games and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a proud American and Texan.
He is preceded in death by a stillborn son, James Michael Roberts; parents, John R. Roberts and Stella Schmidt; three brothers, Ronnie Roberts, George Schmidt and Larry Schmidt; two sisters, Shirley Lovelady and Paula Roberts and one great grandchild, Findley Goodwin.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty four years, Lequita Roberts; daughters, Sheila Tapley and husband James of Emory, TX, Regina Hall of Mineola, TX and Debra Goodwin and husband Jeff of Southlake, TX; grandchildren, Justin DuBois and wife Christina of Willis, Texas, Travis DuBois and wife Whitney of Charleston, SC, Taylor Goodwin and wife Jenna of Sanger, TX, Jordan Goodwin of Southlake, TX, Cody Hall of Mineola, TX, Paige Hall of Mineola, TX, Shane Hall of Tyler, TX and two great grandchildren, Brady and Olivia, brother in law, Kenneth Lovelady and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola, TX from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Funeral Service will follow visitation at 2:00 pm officiated by Bro. Bryan Peck. Interment will follow Funeral Service at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Mineola, TX.
