Obituary for James and Rosa Carrol "Jim" Houser

James "Jim" and Rosa Carrol Houser, of Scroggins, passed away on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13, 2007, respectively, from natural causes. James was born on December 29, 1939 in Dallas to the late James Bass and Hettie Cheatwood Houser. Rosa Carrol was born in Tawakoni on April 4, 1941 to Cothurn and Francis Williams Ainsworth. James worked for the Federal Reserve for 37 years as the supervisor of the cash department. Rosa Carrol worked as a homemaker raising their three children. They were members of the Friendship Baptist Church of Mesquite, The Square Dancing Club of Mesquite, later they were members of Walnut Street Baptist Church of Winnsboro; Jim was a member of the band "Scroggins Bottom Boys" and the East Texas Dulcimer Club. They were preceded in death by Jims parents; Rosa Carrols father, Cothurn Ainsworth. They are survived by Rosa Carrols mother, Francis Ainsworth; two sons, Ronny Houser of Forney, Jonathan Houser and wife Lauren of Cedar Park/Austin; one daughter, Carrol Lynne Brannon of Emory; Jims sister, Terry Ann Rutschman of Corinth; Rosa Carrols three brothers, C.D. Ainsworth and Wife Pat, Robert Ainsworth and wife Kathy, James Ainsworth and wife Susan all of Point; five grandchildren, Joshua Houser, Chrystal Neagle and husband Tony, Dustin Brannon, Rose Brannon, Jacob Houser; two great-grandchildren, Chaylene Carroll and Anthony Neagle.
