Obituary for Hulen Preston Munn
Mr. Hulen Munn, age 98 of Winnsboro, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 in Winnsboro. He was born on September 9, 1923 in Scroggins, Texas to the late James Preston Munn and Thelma Hayes Munn.
On March 20, 1948 he married Maurine Campbell who preceded him in death in 2012, after 64 years together.
Hulen was a member of the Baptist Church, American Legion and a 32nd degree mason and past master of Winnsboro Lodge 1273. He was active in community affairs, school board, civic clubs and loved to fish and garden. He owned and operated Munn Cleaners for over 44 years and served three years in the navy during WW2.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife, brother, Dean Munn and sister, Charlene Acker.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Munn of Winnsboro; son, Michael Munn and his wife, Sherry of Tyler; brother, Berl Munn and his wife Becky of Omaha; three grandchildren, Lisa Hackett, Amanda Johns, and Jeffery Munn; four great grandchildren, Dylan Hackett, Haleigh Hackett, Eric Johns, and Jack Johns.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Bethel Cemetery CR 4350 Scroggins, TX at 1:00 pm with Dr. David Rose conducting.
