Obituary for Hulen M.B. Morris
This obituary is in loving memory of Mr. Hulen Morris, age 79 of Winnsboro. He passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. He was born on August 15, 1943, in Winchester, Tennessee to the late Dozier Morris and Lula Taylor Morris.
Hulen was a retired home builder and member of Calvary Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing, tending to his cattle and working in his large gardens. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Micheline Morris in 2014 and grandson, Nick Morris in 2003.
Survivors include his children. Daughters, Michele Patterson of Bryan, Texas and Rachel Bible and husband, Ken of Grand Prairie; sons, Sam Morris and wife, Brandi of Winnsboro and Andrew Morris and wife, Becky of Winnsboro; sister, Martha Kendall; nine grandchildren, Cody Cofer, Savannah Patterson, Michaela Patterson, Tanner Morris, Gunner Morris, Torey Matthies, Tyler Matthies, Hayley Morris, and Noah Morris; five great grandchildren, Wallis, Cormac, Brielle, Bennett, and Camilla.
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 29th at the Red Barn intersection of Hwy. 37 and CR Winnsboro, Texas. A gathering will follow the memorial service at the Morris Farm, 2495 FM 312 Winnsboro. Interment will be 11:00 am Monday at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro with Rev. Nub Brown conducting. Bill Robinson, Todd Gilbreath, David Deaton, Craig Deaton, Mark Safford, and Tim Davis will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer Nick Morris.
