Obituary for Grayson Cain Mayberry

Jesus reached out to Grayson Cain Mayberry on February 26, 2023 and said “hey buddy, take My hand, I’ve got you, let’s go home.”

Grayson was born on July 19, 2004 to Robert Mayberry and Patti Ragsdale Mayberry in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He was a 2022 graduate of Quitman High School but in his heart, he was always from Winnsboro.

Grayson loved animals and never wanted to see a dog or cat go hungry. He loved working on his truck and taking pictures of the old Dodge at sunset.

Grayson was proceeded in death by his Papaw, Pat Ragsdale and his Poppy, Sherman Mayberry, both grandfathers.

He is survived by his mother Patti Ragsdale Mayberry, and father Robert Mayberry, both of Winnsboro; sister Greenlee Mayberry; grandmother Sue Ragsdale; grandmother Joann Mayberry; aunt and uncle Elaina and Ken Ragsdale; uncle Ron Mayberry and Tina Phillips; uncle Bo Mayberry; aunt Kristina Howard and husband John; cousins Conner Ragsdale and wife Cheyenne, Cason Ragsdale, Megan and Shae Perry, Jason Briggs, Jastyn Pool, Colton Mayberry and wife Ashlyn, and Hunter Mayberry.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Methodist Church, 301 Church Street, Winnsboro on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1pm under the direction of Beaty Funeral Home; Brother Henry Suche and Pastor Debbie Lyons officiating.

Family visitation will be before the service from 12 to 12:45pm and following the service in Wesley Hall at the church. Additional parking is available at First Baptist Church. Grayson’s friends with trucks and loud exhausts are asked to park in the grass lot in front of the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Grayson Mayberry Memorial in care of the Rotary Club of Winnsboro, Post Office Box 781, Winnsboro, Texas 75494.
