Obituary for Gertie Maude Hill (Leath)
Mrs. Gertie Maude Hill, age 90 of Winnsboro, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 in Winnsboro. She was born on July 12, 1931 in Mansfield, Texas to the late William Harrison Leath and Gertie Mae Lashley Leath.
Gertie was a retired accountant and longtime member of First Baptist Church of Winnsboro. She was preceded in death by husband, Josheph E. Hill Sr.; son Joseph E. Hill Jr.; daughter, Sharon Baker; granddaughter, Lashley Talley and grandson Samuel Baker.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth R. Hill and his wife, Sharrell of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter, Cheryl Miller and husband, Carlos of Winnsboro, Texas; grandchildren, Marisha Hill Gibson, Cassandra Hill Eason, John Talley, Sarah Baker Stevenson, Daniel Hill ; numerous great grand children and great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Dr. David Rose conducting. Interment will be at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro.
