Obituary for Geraldine Frances Taylor (Elliott)

Mrs. Geraldine Frances Taylor, 93, of Winnsboro, Texas, opened her eyes in heaven on March 17, 2022. Geraldine was born on May 13, 1928, in Redlands, California, to John Cyrus and Daisy Audrey (Galloway) Elliott. She and her husband Thomas lived many years in Oklahoma before moving to Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Mr. Taylor's retirement then brought the two of them to buy a farm in Winnsboro in 2001. She loved her church and was once a member of the First United Methodist Church in Quitman before changing membership to the church in Winnsboro. Geraldine loved decorating the home and enjoyed being involved with arts and crafts. She loved flowers and she would tell anyone who would listen she was a Plant Specialist. Mrs. Taylor grew beautiful plants and flowers for all her family and friends to enjoy. It was important her clothing matched head to toe and bling in between. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas Edison Taylor in 2019; brother John Cyrus Elliott; sister Jody Mikulas; and grandson Brian William Allen. She is survived by daughter Sherry Taylor, Gwynn Tucker and husband Tommy, and Penny Boice; grandchildren Aaron Allen, Ashley Sughrue, Robert Lee Boice, Jr., Claire Boice, Abby Boice, and Toby Boice; great-grandchildren Lauren Allen, Will Allen, Alivia Allen, Austin Allen, Halle Sughrue, Pierce Sughrue, Jayden Duverne, Ashden Duverne, Finley Petersen, Violet Boice, and Archer Boice. A service of celebration to remember this remarkable lady's life will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Winnsboro, Pastor Debbie Lyons officiating.
