Obituary for Gerald Wayne "Hank" Hankins

Gerald Wayne Hankins born to Olvis Efton Hankins and Florence Coleen Sprague Hankins on June 20, 1940, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 4:00 a.m. He worked at Rockwell International for 21 years, milked cows, worked on Interstate 30 and lastly worked 22 years for the Winnsboro Housing Authority. Mr. Hankins is survived by his wife of 57 years Laqueta Hankins; son Chad Hankins and wife Stephanie of Winnsboro, son Roy Hankins and wife Pamela of Sulphur Springs, son Ronald Hankins and wife Kristi of Krum; sister Lavonda Hoffman and husband Billy Bob of Pickton, sister Ovalene Barber of Sulphur Springs, brother F.O. (Butch) Hankins of Cypress Springs, brother Bobby Hankins and wife Tina of Weaver; grandchildren Cordell Hankins and Amanda of Denton, Bailey Hankins and Doug Hernandez of Denton, Briar Hankins of Winnsboro, Andrew Hankins of Krum; Mr. Hankins was awaiting his first great grandson Tucker Wayne Hankins; bonus great-granddaughters Zoey and Aubrey, bonus grandson Corporal Dylan Reschke of Oceanside, Ca. Graveside service will be Friday, January 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Cypress Cemetery in Franklin County. Visitation will be held on Friday at Beaty Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Hankins memory can be made to Cypress Basin Hospice.
