Obituary for George Monroe Peckham Jr.

George “Junior” Monroe Peckham Jr, 39, of Mustang Ridge, TX died unexpectedly on April 5, 2022, from injuries sustained in motor vehicle accident. His loss was completely unexpected, and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. George was born on November 15, 1982 to George Monroe Peckham and Jennifer Marie Crist in Mt. Pleasant, TX.
George worked as a Welder at Double Tough Truck Tarps for almost 7 years and was a member of El Roy Baptist church. His hobbies included camping, hunting, and fishing, drawing, woodworking and listening to music. One of his favorite things to do was to turn on the radio and work on his latest project, be it making a bench, a bar-b-que pit or fixing up an old truck
Almost anyone who knew George, knew him to be quite and content to be alone with his thoughts or fiddling with his latest project. With his friends and family, he was quick to tell an amusing story, enjoyed a good laugh and was always willing to take part in a good practical joke. George enjoyed fixing things and was quick a to lend a hand to those in need. He was always saying “we got this” when talking about tackling what seemed to be an impossible task.
But more than anything, George loved spending time with his kids. He loved to take them swimming and fishing or just watch them ride bikes and play. He usually had a smile in his face as he watched his children, and you could see the love he had for them shining in his eyes every time George spoke of them to others. He was quick to praise his kids or say how proud he was of them.
George was preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer Crist, and his brother Charlie Peckham. He is Survived by his wife Alice Peckham and his beautiful children: Chris, Chance, Autumn, and Rilee; His father George Peckham, his brother Johnny, and sisters: Etheena, Linda, Elizabeth, Sebrena, and Courtney; His Aunt and Uncle Virginia and Raymond Tabor, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
George will be missed more than words can say.
