Obituary for Franklin D. Coker

Franklin Delano Coker grabbed the hand of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Frank was born on April 28,1934 in Yantis, Texas to the late James W. Coker and Zula (Tucker) Coker. Mr. Coker lived a good life, putting his faith in God to guide his way. Frank was a Senior Advertising Coordinator for the Dallas Morning News and retired after 46 years of dedicated service. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Yantis where he taught the children in Sunday School Class. Frank sponsored the church choir along with his wife Aline, travelling to all sorts of destinations including Hawaii. Mr. Coker was a member of the Lions Club. He is survived by the love of his life wife Aline B. (Smith) Coker; son Christopher F. Coker; niece Deborah E. Mitchell and other nieces and nephews. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” Matthew 5:8
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at First Baptist Church of Yantis 100 Church St. Yantis, Texas 75497. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Yantis 100 Church St. Yantis, Texas 75497 at 11:30 am. Bro. Jim Coker, Bro. Shannon Hassell and Bro. Danny Parker conducting, interment will follow at Sharp Cemetery in Yantis.
