Corinne was a member of Tinney Chapel United Methodist Church. She worked alongside Donald in each business endeavor during their marriage. They were truck farmers in the early years, operated a dairy, and ended their careers as the owners of Tinney Building Center, which she ran on her own after his death in 2002.
Corinne loved to write and in her writings she wrote how she would like to be remembered, “She was a kind and happy Christian lady who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved to read. Housework often took a backseat to her friends, yard work and gardening, as people and nature were her passions in life, as well as photography. She loved to cook and sew, make cards and loved to send and receive mail. She also loved to entertain guests, go on trips, have picnics, and go camping, and fishing. She loved her kids, grands and great-grands and considered strangers to just be friends she hadn’t met yet. She had a passion for life and all it had to offer.”
In a box beside the above information she wrote, “She can’t stand holes in socks and drivers cutting in front of her and then immediately turning.”
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Elaine Banks (Mike) of Winnsboro, son, Mickey Tinney of Winnsboro, daughter, Julie Tinney (Mirna) of Vista, California; grandchildren, Brandi Putman (Brett), Alicia Moore (Ronnie), Shelley Hodges (David), Travessa Newsome (Pete), Kevin Tinney (Ashley), Belinda Neal, and Emma Tinney; great-grands, Cade Hayley, Blaine Moore, Bailey Newsome, Rylie Newsome, Allie Tinney, Travis Tinney, Brandon Hodges, Jacob Hodges, Hunter Hodges, Jake Neal, and Maddie Neal; brother, Jon Dee Matheson, sister-in-law Dorothy Jean Matheson Hogg.
