Obituary for Evelyn Louise Ramey

Evelyn Louise Cameron Ramey (Mema) of Mineola Tx, born on June 7, 1932 and passed away on April 12, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Bobby Glenn Ramey, her son Bubba Hazelwood, her siblings Gene Cameron, Morene Caylor, Neil Cameron, and Paula Rushing, her parents Milburn and Martha Cameron. She is survived by her children and their spouses Yolanda and Gene Trujillo, Belinda Hazelwood, Rick and Tonya Ramey, her grandchildren Joe Bob and Samantha Smith, Tammy Hazelwood Turner, Ashley and Heath Simmons, Cody and Brianna Hazelwood, and Connor Ramey, her great grandkids Hunter Turner, Rylan Simmons, Bryna Smith, Wesson Smith, Bryleigh Hazelwood, Jax Turner, Max Smith, Ashlan Simmons, and Avery Smith, siblings Alice Caylor, Carolyn and Glen Saxon, Patricia Cameron and Gwendolyn Orsburn, and many many nieces and nephews.
Louise spent her entire life selflessly taking care of her family. As a child she served as a second mother to her siblings. After making a family of her own, she devoted all of her time to the love of her life and their three children. As a talented seamstress, she made a lot of the clothes that they wore. Louise loved feeding all the kids in the neighborhood. She always had cookies and kool aid ready in the kitchen for whoever wanted any. She was the world's greatest Mema. She enjoyed taking them camping and fishing, let them destroy her house, waited on them hand and foot and attended every sporting event or special occasion they had. She even let them build small fires on her kitchen table in pie pans. Louise loved feeding her whole family when she got them all together. She would make enough food for an army and you knew it was ready when the smoke alarm announced the rolls were done. In her later years Bob and Louise enjoyed their daily trips to Dairy Queen to eat with their friends and worshipping with their church family every Sunday. Louise truly loved the Lord and never missed a moment to serve others in his name. Her last days on this Earth were spent surrounded by those who loved and appreciated her for all she gave to them.
