Obituary for Elsie Mae Chapman

Mrs. Elsie Mae Chapman passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the age of 83. She was born on September, 26, 1923 to the late Otis Lee Boatman and Lydia Godby Boatman. Mrs. Chapman married Mr. L. Leon Chapman on June 8, 1940. She was a homemaker and a member of the Winnsboro Church of Christ. Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Boatman; sisters, Ina Faye Smith and Jean Peterson and by a son-in-law, Eddie Johnson. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Mr. L. Leon Chapman of Scroggins; daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Homer Parson of Cross Plains, Judith and Jimmy Nerren of Houston, Linda and Robert Stringer of Irving and Deena Johnson of Benton, AR; sons and daughter-in-law, David and Karen Chapman of Lavon; brothers, Ted Boatman of Mustang, OK and Bobby Boatman of Cassle, OK; sister, Edith Crook of Oklahoma City; twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
