Douglas Earl Duke, age 75, passed away on April 9, 2022, at his home in Dallas, Texas. Doug was born September 1, 1946 to Melvin and Mary Julia Duke in Winnsboro, Texas. He graduated from W.W. Samuel High School in 1964 and went on to attend East Texas State University. He earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and joined the army reserves. Doug is survived by Mother Mary Julia Duke, Brother Gerry Duke (Butch), Sister Carla Duke Chandler, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-niece, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Melvin Duke, Brother Jeffery Duke, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. He loved attending family functions and his family nickname was Buckaroo. He enjoyed playing golf, attending the state fair with family, and watching old TV shows or movies. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and loved our Lord and Savior. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and Coca-Cola lover. He will be remembered for his kind, loving, and humorous personality. Doug will be missed by numerous family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 2 pm at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro Texas.
