Obituary for Dorothy Dell Petty

Mrs. Dorothy Dell Gunn Petty, age 65 of Sulphur Springs, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2007 in Tyler. She was born on January 23, 1942 in the Winterfield Community to the late Henry and Jewell Pace Gunn. She married Mr. Jerry Mac Petty on August 23, 1964 in Winnsboro. She worked as a recieving clerk for Winn-Dixie in Sulphur Springs, and later was a home health caregiver. She was a member of the Cedar Crest Christian Church of Sulphur Springs. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, infant Larry Gunn, and Mickey Gunn. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jerry Petty of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Shelly Petty of Sulphur Springs, Alicia Coats and husband Shad of Whitehouse; one brother, Ronny Gunn and wife Sally of Pickton; five grandchildren, Kirby Mills, Mikki Petty, Hunter Mills, Mason Coats, Justin Coats; and one great-granddaughter, Angel Mills.
