Obituary for David Paul Betts
A celebration in Heaven began at 5:05 PM Sunday when David went home to be with his Lord, Jesus. Mr. David Paul Betts, age 46, of Hawkins, Texas, died Sunday, August 26, 2007, at a Tyler Hospital. Mr. Betts was a Constable for Wood County precinct 3. He had also served as security for Jarvis Christian Collage, Holly Lake Ranch and as a former Big Sandy Policeman. David was a member of Holly Brook Baptist Church at Holly Lake Ranch and of the Church on the Rock in Quitman.
He was the son of John D. and Kim Betts of Mineola and Dorothy Murray of Hawkins.
He is also survived by his wife Mrs. Leah (Phillips) Betts of Hawkins; one daughter, Jessica Betts of Hawkins, Texas; three sons, Jake Betts, Josh Betts, and Jared Betts all of Hawkins, Texas; two sisters, Kemi Browning of Greenville, Texas and Paula Baker of Dallas, Texas; one brother, John Allen Betts of Hawkins, Texas; lifelong caregivers, Lance Dillard and Lori Ross as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other reletives.
