Obituary for Clarance Eugene LupPlace Jr.

Clarance Eugene LupPlace, Jr. passed away January 12, 2022 in Ft. Worth, Texas at the age of 60 following a brief but courageous battle to recover from a spinal injury.

Clarance, known to many friends and family as Bud, was born September 14, 1961 at Elmendorf Air Force Base near Anchorage, Alaska. Throughout his lifetime Bud lived in Mesquite, TX, Quitman TX, Stilwell, OK, Conroe, TX, Waco, TX, DeSoto, TX, Ft. Worth, TX, and for the last several years in Weatherford, TX. At every move he added to his collection of lifelong friends with his easy laugh and willingness to help anyone at the drop of a hat.

In 1988 Bud married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Kuntz, and together they had one son, James Alexander LupPlace. Bud’s devotion to his family is evident in the time he devoted to his wife and son. He regularly attended festivals and fairs walking hand in hand with Shirley Ann, and cheered band competitions and theater productions featuring his son James. Bud joyfully and willingly gave his time and energy to his friends and family, a true testament to a life well lived.

In addition to his wife, Shirley and son James, Bud is survived by his parents Gene and Sue LupPlace of Winnsboro, TX; one sister, Nancy Frederick (Scott) of Springboro, OH; one niece, Alex Rodrigues (David); one nephew, Joseph Frederick; one great niece Loralei Rodrigues; and more than 50 aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will gather for a visitation on Sunday, January 16th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, Texas with a celebration of Bud's life beginning at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Scottish Rite for Children online at: https://scottishriteforchildren.org/
