Christopher Wade Byrnes journey ended on May 23, 2023, however, the memory of him will continue on with those who knew and loved him. Christopher was born in Dallas, Texas, on August 26, 1963, to Jewel Clayton Byrnes and Rita Box Byrnes. A 1981 graduate of Winnsboro High, Chris continued his education and received his HVAC certification from Paris Jr. College. Christopher was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Byrnes was a member of the American Legion in Mt. Vernon. He worked as a dairyman, drove big rigs and farmed with his father. Chris retired as a corrections officer from TDCJ. Those that knew him remember him for his wit, sarcasm, and dry sense of humor. Christopher was preceded in death by his father Jewel Clayton Byrnes. He is survived by his mother Rita Byrnes; fiance' Leslie Bandy; brother James Clayton Byrnes and wife Kelli, Jonathan Daniel Byrnes and wife Julie; sister Amy Elizabeth Gearner and husband John; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
