Obituary for Charlotte Marion Calkins

Mrs. Charlotte Marion (Fargen) Calkins, age 85, of McKinney, Texas, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at a McKinney Hospital. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. She was also a member of Lake Merideth Yacht Club in Border, Texas. She was born October 9, 1921 in Stratford, Texas the daughter of the late Mathew Fargen and the late Charlotte (Finney) Fargen.

She is survived by her husband of sixty eight years, A.D. "Bud" Calkins of McKinney; three daughters, Linda Fisk and her husband Aubrey of Mineola, Texas, Charlotte Summer and her husband Tom of League City, Texas, Debbie Congdon and her husband Terry of Wylie, Texas; one son, Tony Calkins and his wife Elaine of Kyle, Texas; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola, Texas, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosery at 7:00 PM Thursday, July 26, 2007. Funeral service will be at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Friday, July 27, 2007 , Father Efren Nano officiating. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, Texas.
