Carl Dean Hodges was born to Fred and Ruth Hodges on March 22, 1943 in Frost, Texas. Mr. Hodges released his spirit to heaven on June 9, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Ruth Hodges, son Carey Dean Hodges, brothers Ronald Hodges and Jerry Hodges. Mr. Hodges is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Kathy Hodges; sons David Hodges (Shelley), Shane Hodges (Kristi); daughter Charmaine Silva (Bil); 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother Tommy Hodges; sisters Linda Hair and Joy Strickland; numerous nieces and nephews. Carl loved his family and they were so important to him. He loved God's creation and being outdoors whether it was working up a sweat or wetting a hook. Mr. Hodges had been a longtime member of Pine Street Baptist Church. Carl loved the Lord and had fond memories of teaching Sunday School to the junior high and high school boys at Pine Street Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, June 12th at Beaty Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Cemetery with Brother Charles Ethridge officiating.
