Obituary for Bruce Lynn Swann

Bruce Lynn Swann passed away in the company of his family at Winnsboro Lake on July 4th, 2022. He was born in Winnsboro, TX on February 26th, 1961. Bruce Lynn was a Winnsboro High School graduate, and a very hard worker with an extensive pipe fitting and construction career. He was a jack of all trades and could do anything he set his mind to, like building a custom log home on the Bear River in Wyoming. You could always find him outside tinkering with something or growing an amazing garden.

But above all else, he was a beloved son, sibling, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was devoted to his family and protected them fiercely. He knew life was sweeter because of the people in it. He often brought people along to whatever he was doing and made them feel special just by being around him. To his three girls he was their first love, the voice that brought them endless joy, and the best adventure partner.

There truly is no one like him, he is a soul to be treasured.

Bruce is preceded in death by his beloved mother Alma Marie and father Gerald Swann, his brothers Gerald "Brub" Swann, Tommy Swann, Ivan Swann, Billy Don Swann, and his sister Doris Woodard.

Bruce is survived on earth by his daughters Brittany Swann, Beth Michiemo with husband Tim, Brooke Burke with husband Tom, and his former spouse Tonjua. His grandchildren; Eden, Ben, Magnolia, Sophia, Nya, and baby boy Burke on the way. His brothers Terry Swann, Harry Swann, Ronny Swann, and Brad Swann and his sisters Judy Holt, Donna Lupton, Beth Takacs, and Sharon Allen.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday July 10th, at 12:30pm at the Winnsboro Civic Center (915 Wheeler Drive). Friends and family are encouraged to write a memorable story on paper for a book his girls would like to make.
