Obituary for Billy Rawdon

Mr. Billy W. Rawdon, Sr., age 68 of Winnsboro, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007 in Tyler. He was born in Dallas County on May 27, 1939 to the late Jim and Nora Thornton Rawdon. He was the owner of Rawdon Floor Covering in Canton for 28 years. He served on the Canton School Board, was a past president of the Canton Youth Recreation Association, and a member of Pine Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro. He married Carol Ann Murdock in Durant, OK., on August 18, 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Leslie, Joe, Vena, and Sydney Rawdon. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Carol Ann Rawdon of Winnsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Bill Rawdon, Jr. of Mabank; daughter Cheryl Rawdon of Winnsboro; one brother, Everett Rowdan of DeSoto; four grandchildren, Brian Rawdon of Tyler, Meagan Smith and husband Herschell of Mabank, Brady Scott of New Braunfeul, Karen Scott of Austin.
