Obituary for Dean L. Pope
Mrs. Dean L. Pope, age 79 of Mineola, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at her home. She was born on February 28, 1943 in College Park, Georgia to the late George Orrie Ledbetter and Verna Elsie Phillips.
Mrs. Pope was a retired legal secretary and a longtime active member of Sand Springs Baptist Church. She loved animals and thought of all her loved ones as family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Pope and grandson, Chris Franks.
Survivors include her daughters, Renee Pope of Mineola, Laura Barnes of Grand Saline, and Lynn Williford of Mesquite; five grandchildren, Brittany Kennedy (Bryce), Mandy Franks, Garrett Barnes, Aubrey Barnes(Laney), and Trey Golden; seven great grandchildren, Madelyn, Lillie, Marshall, Dirk, Krislynn, Blaine, and Jaxon.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Sand Springs Baptist Church 3208 CR 2330 Mineola, Texas 75773 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jim Parker and Rev. Brandon Grey conducting.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sand Springs Baptist Church or Mineola Animal Shelter.
