Obituary for Almo Wilder

Wilder, Almo Burnett passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2007 after an extended illness. Ms. Wilder was born on June 8, 1918 in Mineola, Texas and was preceded in death by her parents Martha J. Burnett and Robert C. Burnett and her sister Morine Burnett Chrietzberg. She is survived by her loving daughter, Martha Zoe Vansyckle and husband William Vansyckle, her loving son Weldon Kim Wilder, her sisters Iwana "Baby Girl" Carney, Hettie Lou Fields, Jimmie D. Carter, her brother Nimon Burnett, her grandchildren Christina, Kate, and Timothy, four geat-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Ms. Wilder led a colorful life, full of spirit and spunk. During World War II she worked in Washington D.C. for the Pentagon and made the decision to move to Dallas shortly after returning from Washington D.C. and became a master seamstress for several prominent companies in the Dallas area. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed, with a passion, her garden, sewing and family and friends. She was truly a one-of-a kind person and will be sorely missed by those in her life.
