Obituary for Alice Ann Bain Rose

Mrs. Alice Ann Bryant Bain Rose, age 90, of Pine Forest, departed this life and entered into the presence of Jesus during the early morning hours of November 16, 2020. Ann passed away peacefully at her residence.
Ann was born February 11, 1930, in Hopkins County, Texas, the youngest daughter of the late Farrah Ingram Hunter “Boss” and Gladys Irene Bryant.
Ann married Joe E. Bain, Jr. in September of 1949. She was a lifelong member of Pine Forest Methodist Church where she served as treasurer, and in recent years, helped the small church organize a food bank for local families.
Technically, Ann was a homemaker. But in reality, she worked tirelessly alongside her husband, “Junior” and their children on their Jersey dairy farm until it was sold in the early nineteen nineties. After retiring, Ann enjoyed mowing her yard, tending to her flowerbeds, and balancing her checkbooks to the penny. Her favorite color was purple and she made the best chicken-n-dumplings in the world.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 49 ½ years, Joe E. Bain, Jr. (Junior); her youngest son, Stanley Paul Bain; her older sister, Virginia “Babyease” Louise Bryant Howle, and stepson, Jerry Rose.
On April Fool’s Day of 2006, Ann Bain became Ann Rose when she married Robert E. Rose. The two had been grade-school and lifelong friends. After losing their spouses, they found that their sweet friendship developed into a loving companionship. They enriched each other’s lives and added countless years of happiness.
