Mr. Heaslet was born in Fort Worth, TX and settled in Mineola. He is survived by 2 daughters, Kim Hamilton of Whitehouse and Kelly Cockerell of Lindale along with one son, George Heaslet of Mineola. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Irene Booth of Arlington, Julia Mae Terrell of Athens, Helen Colley of Clarksville, AR and one brother, JT Heaslet of Branson, MI. Mr. Heaslet has 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, James Henry Heaslet and Julia Catron Heaslet, sister, Ethel Wood and brothers, Charlie Heaslet and James Heaslet.
Mr. Heaslet lived in Mineola for many years and loved working in his flower garden and making pets out of the squirrels around his home. He loved to just get up and go and travel wherever the road would take him, just for fun. He had a love for horses and enjoyed Trail Rides and the Mineola Rodeos. Most mornings you could find him at Kitchens having coffee and enjoying his breakfast. He followed the family tradition of pouring concrete as an Independent Contractor before retiring.
